RRB Non-Technical Popular Category Selection Process

Applicants who are preparing for RRB Non-Technical Posts, will be selected based on the following tests conducted by RRB. There will be questions with multiple choices i.e MCQ’s and the candidates are allowed to select only one option.

  • 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Typing Skill Test or Computer Based Aptitude Test
  • Document Verification and
  • Medical Examination

RRB Exam Pattern of NTPC

NTPC Exam will be conducted in various different stages i.e 1st Stage of CBT, followed by 2nd Stage of CBT. These exams can be conducted through an online computer-based test. There will be 1st Stage of Exam i.e 1st CBT also called as Preliminary Exam and 2nd Stage of Exam i.e 2nd CBT also called as Mains Exam.

RRB Syllabus for NTPC

There will be 3 sections in NTPC Exam either maybe 1st Stage of CBT or 2nd Stage of CBT. The 3 Sections are Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness. These 3 sections are there for 2 stages of CBT.

1. Mathematics:

The Question maybe from Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, etc…

2. General Intelligence and Reasoning

For Reasoning, the questions may be from different Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc…

3. General Awareness

All the current affairs and Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science, History of India and Freedom Struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system, General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India etc…

RRB Junior Engineer (JE), CMA and DMS Selection Process

Applicants who are preparing for RRB Junior Engineer (JE), CMA and DMS Posts will be selected based on the following tests which will be conducted by RRB. There will be questions with multiple choices i.e MCQ’s and the candidates are allowed to select only one option.

RRB Syllabus for JE, CMA, and DMS

There will be 1st Stage of CBT and 2nd Stage of CBT. There are 4 Sections in the 1st Stage of CBT they are Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and General Science. There will be 5 Sections in 2nd Stage of CBT, they will be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Appliances, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control and last section will be Technical Abilities. All these questions will be MCQs.

RRB Assistant Loco-Pilot (ALP) and Technician Selection Process

Applicants who are preparing for RRB Assistant Loco-Pilot and Technical Posts will be selected based on the following tests conducted by RRB. There will be questions with multiple choices i.e MCQ’s and the candidates are allowed to select only one option.

  • 1st Stage of Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • 2nd Stage of Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Computer-Based Aptitude Test
  • Document Verification and
  • Final Selection

ALP and Technician Exam will be conducted in various different stages i.e 1st Stage of CBT, followed by the 2nd Stage of CBT and then there will be Computer Based Aptitude Test. These exams can be conducted through an online computer-based test. There will be 1st Stage of Exam i.e 1st CBT also called as Preliminary Exam and 2nd Stage of Exam i.e 2nd CBT also called as Mains Exam.

3rd Stage of CBAT Exam Pattern

There will be a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for the candidates who had qualified in the 2nd Stage of CBT. The candidate need to score a minimum of 42 marks in each of the given test batteries. This test is applicable to all the candidates and there is no relaxation.

RRB Syllabus for ALP

There will be 1st Stage of CBT, 2nd Stage of CBT and there will be Computer-Based Aptitude Test. There are 4 Sections in the 1st Stage of CBT they are Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and General Science. There will be 2 Parts in 2nd Stage of CBT, In Part-A there will be Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and General Science and Engineering. In Part-B there will be MCQs on Relevant Trade. After the 2nd Stage of CBT, there will be CBAT for those who qualified in 2nd Stage of CBT.
